July 1, 2007 - New Router in place
We have recently made a number of enhancements to our Network. The biggest item to note is the upgrade of our core router to our upstream provider. We have replaced our old 'EOL' Cisco router with a new Cisco 1841 series router to full utilize the full capacity of our connectivity. This device has available room for expansion as our needs grow in the future.

Also, we have recently added a Network Monitoring application to alert the IS staff of any critical network issues or outages.

Lastly, we have added a thermal monitor to keep tabs on the temperature. We are able to monitor this sensor at all times and make adjustments as needed to keep the equipment running in an optimal temperature range.
